Ellie Bay of the East Bay

A nuanced satire of patriarchal fears set in a fictional historic setting.

Inspired by — in fact, directly hacked from — a typical poem of 19th century poet and outdoorsman Joaquin Miller, this comic piece brings to life a historic gathering in the Oakland Hills that may or may not have actually taken place, credited to another fictional character, Ardmore O'Connell.
